    Hancock: Review

HancockOkay, I went into this one with just about the lowest expectations as one could have. There’s been a lot of haters out there on Will Smith and personally don’t have a problem with him. His shtick does get old, but generally it’s well placed throughout the movie or just enough to make you laugh.

Synopsis: There are heroes… there are superheroes… and then there’s Hancock (Will Smith). With great power comes great responsibility – everyone knows that – everyone, that is, but Hancock. Unpopular superhero Hancock saves the life of a PR executive who attempts to salvage his public image.

Overall the plot was new for the movie realm of the comic hero category, but not so much new for those of us who have experienced this type of story line through reading comics over the years. Nevertheless I think you’ll see some stuff you haven’t yet.

Will Smith and Charlize Theron did a good job as did Jason Bateman — oddly enough it was Bateman though that kept taking me out of the movie, not the special effects as most critics are saying.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars and say go see it in the theater.
