The HULK, really?
I was going to write about my experiences seeing the new Narnia movie, Price Caspian
, this weekend but instead i’m compelled to mention this years upcoming flop-fest “The Incredible Hulk”. Never mind 2003’s Hulk movie
, I guess we are supposed to just forget about that one. Universal and Marvel are “rebooting” the franchise this year with a new movie. Check out the previews in HD here. I gotta say for the record, i’m predicting this a major flop. Not really any kind of earth shattering prediction there, take a look at the trailer and see for yourself. Makes me worry for Ed Norton though…

Hancock: Review
Okay, I went into this one with just about the lowest expectations as one could have. There’s been a lot of haters out there on Will Smith and personally don’t have a problem with him. His shtick does get old, but generally it’s well placed throughout the movie or just enough to make you laugh.

Overall the plot was new for the movie realm of the comic hero category, but not so much new for those of us who have experienced this type of story line through reading comics over the years. Nevertheless I think you’ll see some stuff you haven’t yet.
Will Smith and Charlize Theron did a good job as did Jason Bateman — oddly enough it was Bateman though that kept taking me out of the movie, not the special effects as most critics are saying.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars and say go see it in the theater.

Dark Knight: Review
I would be remiss if I didn’t post an “official” ColaMovies.com review of the Dark Knight. I was finally able to get out and see this one (actually twice this weekend) and it was definitely one of those rare experiences where the movie lives up to the hype. This movie really transcends the comic book hero category, it is a film full of mature performances that really sells the tragedy in the story-line, I would even call it a work of art.
